WPL 2026 ahead of the mega auction on November 27, all five Women’s Premier League (WPL) franchises have confirmed their list of retained players for the upcoming season.
WPL 2026 – Retained Players Lists
Each franchise was permitted to retain a maximum of five players, with the following conditions:
- Maximum of three capped Indian players
- Maximum of two overseas players
- If a team retained all five slots, at least one player had to be an uncapped Indian
- An uncapped Indian player can be retained at ₹50 lakh
With the retention process completed, the auction dynamics are now shaped by each team’s remaining purse and Right to Match (RTM) availability.

RCB Retained Players List
RCB opted to retain four players, giving them one RTM option at the auction.

- Ellyse Perry – ₹2 Cr
- Richa Ghosh – ₹2.75 Cr
- Shreyanka Patil – ₹60 L

The franchise also arrives with a new coaching setup. Malolan Rangarajan replaces Luke Williams as head coach, while former England pacer Anya Shrubsole has joined as assistant coach.

Mumbai Indians Retained Players List
MI have gone for the full five-player retention, meaning they cannot use RTM cards in the auction.

UP Warriorz chose to reset their squad, retaining only one player ahead of the auction.
