Virat Kohli Play Ranji Matches
Virat Kohli is making his return to domestic cricket after a 13-year gap (4,469 days), playing for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy match against Railways on January 30, 2025, at 9:30 AM IST at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

Virat Kohli’s last Ranji Trophy match for Delhi was against Uttar Pradesh in Ghaziabad 2012.

Delhi won the toss and chose to field first against Railways in their Ranji Trophy Elite Group D match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Kohli is playing under the captaincy of Ayush Badoni in the game.

According to Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) is making special arrangements for Virat Kohli’s return to domestic cricket. In addition to providing increased security at the venue, DDCA is preparing to host around 10,000 spectators at the stadium. As part of this, the North End and Old Club House will be opened for fans.

Kohli’s decision to return to the Ranji Trophy came in response to the BCCI’s mandate for all regular India players to participate in domestic cricket in order to stay relevant for national team selection.
Virat Kohli’s recent batting performance during the tour of Australia, which concluded earlier this month, was impressive. The 36-year-old scored 190 runs in the series, including a century in Perth.

Earlier this week, other India Test regulars made a comeback to domestic cricket including the likes of captain Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja and Shubman Gill.
